Whatever stage of your career you’re in, whatever your ambitions are, there’s a CVQO-led qualification suitable for you

CVQO offers vocational learning opportunities to individuals from a wide range of ages and backgrounds. Our qualifications are open to anyone with the desire to learn and that equality of access is what makes us who we are.

Learners can begin their journey with us as early as 13 with a BTEC Level 1, progressing through our BTEC Level 2 and ILM Level 2 and 3 qualifications, all the way up to a City & Guilds Professional Recognition Award.

Some of our learners have used their CVQO qualifications to help them gain access to the most prestigious education institutions in the world, while others have secured equally brilliant apprenticeships, job offers or promotions as a result of their hard graft.

BTEC Level 1 in Teamwork and Personal Skills

Our BTEC Level 1 qualifications represent the first step on the CVQO learner journey and are intended for learners aged 13-15.

ILM Level 2 Award for Young Leaders

The course is aimed at 14 to 15½-year-old cadets and is designed to challenge them to unlock their leadership potential.

BTEC Level 2 in Teamwork and Personal Development in the Community

The BTEC Level 2 in Teamwork and Personal Development in the Community (SCQF Level 5) is achieved by thousands of youth group members each year and is one of our flagship qualifications.

ILM Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management

This qualification is aimed at individuals who have management responsibilities but no formal training, as well as new, aspiring or practicing first line managers.

BTEC Level 3 in Education & Training

This is an introductory professional teaching qualification for the further education sector (i.e. FE colleges) and the workplace learning sector (training at work, apprenticeships, volunteers, etc).

ILM Level 4 and 5 Awards

CVQO offers two levels of ILM qualifications for adults (19+) that are directly accredited by certain Cadet Force Adult Volunteer courses; however they can also be undertaken as standalone qualifications.

City & Guilds Licentiateship (Level 4)

This RQF Level 4 Licentiateship award is run in conjunction with City & Guilds and is part of their Professional Recognition Awards suite. The Licentiateship is comparable to a Certificate of Higher Education or HNC.

City & Guilds Affiliateship (Level 5)

This RQF Level 5 Affiliateship award is run in conjunction with City & Guilds and is part of their Professional Recognition Awards suite. The Affiliateship is comparable to a Foundation Degree or HND.

City & Guilds Graduateship (Level 6)

This RQF Level 6 Graduateship award is run in conjunction with City & Guilds and is part of their Professional Recognition Awards suite. The Graduateship is comparable to a Bachelor’s Degree.

City & Guilds Membership (Level 7)

This RQF Level 7 Membership award is run in conjunction with City & Guilds and is part of their Professional Recognition Awards suite. The Membership is comparable to a Master’s Degree.
