“I signed up for the CVQO BTEC Level 2 qualification during annual camp 2019. I knew I would be leaving the Army Cadet Force the following year due to ageing out and so thought I would try to take advantage of as many opportunities as I could before I left.
“I was already completing my A Level studies from home so had started to get accustomed to working independently. I enjoyed working on the booklets for the qualification because they were interesting and also offered a good contrast to my A Level work.
“I wish to join the Police Force through their degree apprenticeship scheme, which is very competitive. The CVQO BTEC Level 2 qualification will be very important when putting my application together and will help me to stand out.
“I felt a real sense of accomplishment when I finished the course because it was nice to do something productive and independent during lockdown that will benefit me in the future.
