In this week of National Remembrance, on Tuesday 8th November CVQO’s Chief Executive Guy Horridge was invited to attend the Department for Educations Service of Remembrance at their Headquarters in London.
The Right Honourable Gillian Keegan MP, the Secretary of State for Education led the Remembrance of Government Ministers and Staff at the Service. They were also joined by Colour Sergeant Johnson Beharry VC. Guy was honoured to take part in the service and laid a wreath tribute on behalf of CVQO along with the Secretary of State.
CVQO has for the past few years facilitated a bugler to Sound the Last Post and Reveille during the service. This year Cadet Flight Sergeant Dan Walters from 129 (Tunbridge Wells) Squadron who is the Principal Trumpet of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets National Concert Band had the honour to play drawing many favourable comments on his performance.
