We are delighted to announce that CVQO has been awarded the prestigious Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award for our outstanding support towards the Armed Forces community.
Representing the highest badge of honour, Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Awards are awarded to those that employ and support those who serve, veterans and their families.
There are fewer than 500 Gold Award holders in the UK, so this represents a fantastic achievement for us and we are extremely proud.
Guy Horridge, CVQO Chief Executive, said: “On behalf of everyone at CVQO I am delighted to accept this award. We simply could not do what we do without our supporters from the Armed Forces and so this award equally belongs to them.
“CVQO is a forces-friendly organisation, committed to supporting the development of young people and adult volunteers within the MOD Cadet Forces. To date we have delivered more than 100,000 vocational qualifications to our learners and plan to help many more in the future.
“Many of our staff are current Reservists, Cadet Force Adult Volunteers or have been serving military personnel. We fully support their voluntary commitments by accommodating their training and development wherever possible.”
The Employer Recognition Scheme was launched in 2014 by the then Prime Minister David Cameron to recognise employer support for the wider principles of the Armed Forces Covenant and the full spectrum of Defence personnel. This includes the Reserves, service leavers, cadets, spouses and wounded, injured and sick.
