Great news! Army Cadet Force CFAVs attending the King George VI Memorial Leadership Training Course (KGVI) can now gain an ILM Level 5 Award in Leadership and Management through CVQO.
What is it?
This qualification is mapped to the KGVI course and aims to help practising middle managers develop their skills and experience, improve performance and prepare for senior management.
Researching and applying ACF policies when planning and implementing large-scale activities are key outcomes of the course.
It’s a fantastic qualification to help participants gain new knowledge, enhance their CVs and help them perform more effectively as leaders within their organisations – as well as their ACF roles.
How long does it take?
The Total Qualification Time (TQT) for the Award is 60 hours. This comprises ILM course time, previous experience and any assessment tasks/activities. Post-course work will take around 20 hours to complete.
Participants will need to deliver a professional presentation to implement a large event. They will need to submit evidence which will include a presentation plan, resources, a witness testimony and details of feedback collected from members of the audience. They will also complete a post-course evaluation of their presentation.
The course cost to learners is £265, but thanks to a generous bursary from the Army Cadet Force Association, £165 of the fee will be repaid on completion of the Award.
I’m interested – what next?
KGVI course attendees will be told all about the qualification and how to enrol at their induction briefing, but anyone interested before then can contact the CVQO ILM team on 01276 601 708, or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
